Step 1: Use a favorite medium to color in the Lion’s head.
Children can bring their lion’s head to life by using their favorite coloring medium, be it crayons, colored pencils, or markers.
Watercolor brush pens are one of our favorite mediums and are super easy for Arty Crafty Kids to use.
With a palette of vibrant yellows and oranges, Arty Crafty Kids can expand their creativity by blending different shades to add emphasis and depth to the lion’s facial features.
Step 2: Apply a layer of clear PVA glue to the mane ‘canvas’.
Step 3: Glue a collection of flowers directly to the mane.
Children can engage in this mindful and creative activity by carefully selecting and arranging an assortment of dried flowers; creating a truly unique and magnificent mane for their regal lion.
Arty Crafty Kids can choose from a variety of blooms, leaves, and petals (either dried or freshly picked from the garden), each offering its own texture and color.
As they delicately place the flowers within the lion’s mane, children hone their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Step 4: To add a lift and 3D effect to our lion’s head, create two paper loops.
Step 5: Glue the loops to the white area within the lion’s mane.
Step 6: Apply glue to the top of each loop and affix the lion’s head on top.
As the final piece is carefully placed, the lion springs to life with a beautiful mane of dried flowers.
