Cut out the Panda Elements
Step 1: All the elements, with the exception of the heart, can be used to make the Panda.
The template has been designed with little hands in mind; keeping the shapes simple and large to encourage kids to have a go for themselves.
Arrange the Shapes
Step 2: Once the elements have been cut out, ask the Arty Crafty Kids to arrange the shapes.
Let’s Assemble the Panda!
Step 3: Glue the head to the Panda’s large round body.
Attach the ears to the back of its head so that only two semi-circles are showing.
Step 4: Apply glue to the whole of the first arm and secure to the Panda’s body.
Step 5: Apply a generous amount of glue to just the shoulder area of the second arm. You should be able to lift the remainder of the Panda’s arm.
Create the Heart Card
Step 6: Fold a piece of coloured paper in half.
Align the straight edge of the heart along the fold of the paper.
Draw around the heart and cut out the shape up to the paper fold.
Attach the Card to the Panda
Step 7: Apply glue to the top of the fully attached arm and place the heart card on top.
Step 8: Apply a small amount of glue to the inside of second arm. Rest the arm on top of the heart and press down to secure.
When the arm is lifted, the heart card will open!
Write a Message
Step 9: Finish off with a special message.
