Sharing is caring!
Looking for a fun and easy polar bear craft to try with the kids this Winter? this super cute popsicle stick polar bear is perfect for kids of all ages to make!
Popsicle sticks can be found in most craft kits, but what can you do with them? This tutorial will demonstrate how popsicle sticks can be used as a base to create an adorable polar bear, which can be paired with our popsicle stick snowman and reindeer to complete a full winter crafting session with the kids.
To make the craft super easy, we have created a handy printable polar bear template with elements to cut out and glue onto the popsicle sticks.
Alternatively, children can have a go drawing their own shapes to form a polar bear. Either way, this is a hands-on tactile craft that supports fine motor development.

Let’s Make a Popsicle Stick Craft!
Arrange and Paint the Popsicle Sticks
Cut a Popsicle stick into two smaller pieces – they should be long enough to stretch across 4 Popsicle sticks arranged side by side.
Paint the popsicle sticks white and leave to dry.
Glue/Stick the Supporting Popsicle Sticks
Once the Popsicle sticks are dry, arrange the long pieces side by side.
Next, apply a generous amount of glue to one of the smaller pieces and stick it across the four Popsicle sticks.
To hold the group of four in place, secure the second short stick across the sticks.
Cut Out the Polar Bear Elements and Assemble the Face
Cut out the face elements and assemble.
Use black and pink marker pens for extra detail i.e. rosie cheeks, a smiley face, expressive eyebrows etc.
Glue the Chest Area and Draw Claws
Glue the oval shape to the center of the polar bears popsicle body and glue the head to the top.
Add some claw detailing to the arms.
Optional – Glue an Artificial Flower to the Arm
Affix an artificial flower or a paper heart to one of the polar bears arms.
Glue the Arms to the Popsicle Sticks and Fold Round
Create a small fold at the end of each arm and glue to the back of the popsicle body.
Bend the arms around to the front to meet across the tummy area.
