Step 1: Paint the Paper Plate
Give each child a paper plate and encourage them to paint it orange using a paintbrush.
Step 2: Design the Pumpkin Features
Once the paint is dry, assist the children in cutting out various pumpkin features like eyes, a nose, and a mouth from our Jack-O-Lantern printable template.
OR, use a pencil to draw the features.
Step 3: Create a Pumpkin Stem
Simply cut out a small strip of green paper in a ‘stork shape’ and make a green paper leaf or twirly vine.
Glue the final pieces to the paper plate pumpkin for completion.
Once your Arty Crafty Kids have mastered the basics of designing their pumpkins, they can get creative with facial expressions.
As well as add additional features (like a witches hat, bats or spider webs).
