Let’s Make the Mother’s Day Card!
Trace the Template or Child’s Hand
Trace around the template or a child’s hand onto skin colored paper.
Trace the Tulip Heads
Next, trace around the tulip heads onto colored card stock.
Trace the Flower’s onto Different Colored Cardstock
Tulips come in a huge variety of colors – trace the tulip heads onto lots of different colors!
We recommend a total of 9 tulip heads for a full bouquet.
Cut out all the tulip heads.
Trace the Leaf Shape
Trace round the leaf shape onto green paper.
Cut out all the leaves
Create Flower Stems
Using the short edge of a piece of green paper, carefully create 9 paper strips.
Make the Flowers
Glue a tulip head onto each stem.
Add Fingernails to the Handprint
Next, turn the handprint over and use a coloring pencil to draw fingernails onto the finger tips.
Glue the Flower’s into the Handprint
Fold a sheet of colored card stock in half.
Next, glue the handprint and arm (with the finger nails on the back) onto the front of the card.
Do not secure the finger tips!
Begin glueing the tulip stems to the inside of the open handprint.
Make a Tulip Bouquet
Layer the tulip stems within the handprint and complete the bouquet by glueing leaves around the stems.
Trim the Flower Stems
Trim any excess stem.
Fold the Fingertips Around the Flower Bouquet
Fold the unstuck finger tips around the tulip bouquet and secure with glue.
