Ready to make the Shark Father’s Day Card?
Step 1:
Download and print the Shark Card templates from the Arty Crafty Kids members area.
The templates can be downloaded on to good quality paper or card stock.
If you opt for card stock, remember to check your printer settings for a recommended weight. Most printers struggle with card stock thicker than 160 gsm.
Step 2:
Cut out the shark elements.
The template has been designed with kids in mind, to encourage them to have a go at cutting for themselves.
Assembling the Shark:
Step 3:
Once all the elements have been cut out (and coloured if you’ve downloaded the black and white version), fold the mouth in half so that the teeth are on the inside of the fold.
Step 4:
Next, fold the small blue circle in half so that the blue is on the outside of the fold.
Step 5:
Align the two folded circles (with the red mouth on the inside and blue on the outside of the mouth) and secure with glue.
You should now have a chomping 3D mouth!
Step 6:
Attach the mouth to the bottom of the large blue circle, leaving plenty of room for the eyes.
Step 7:
Turn the shark over and attach the fin.
Step 8:
Complete the shark with two large eyes!
Turn the Shark into a Father’s Day Card!
At this point of the craft, the shark could be left as it is…
Alternatively, turn the shark craft into a card by adding a cute message inside the toothy mouth!
Here, we’ve written ‘Love you, Daddy Shark!’
I hope your children enjoy making this Shark Father’s Day Card and of course, Daddy’s appreciate your Arty Crafty Kids handy work!
