Easy Bobble Ghost Halloween Craft – Step by Step Instructions:
Create a Spooky Twilight Backdrop
Explore warm and cool colours to create a spooky twilight backdrop!
Step 1: Use a sheet of white card stock or mixed media paper and select a medium. In this example, we’re using watercolour paints.
Step 2: Working from the top of the page, begin adding paint strokes of dark shades of blue, purple and even black.
Step 3: As the Arty Crafty Kids work down the page, add warmer hues of red, orange and yellow.
The aim is create a progression from cool colours to warm. This is a great opportunity for Arty Crafty Kids to explore and play with colour.
Once the page is full, leave the spooky backdrop to dry!
Create the Ghosts!
Step 4: Using a yellow marker pen, colour in the windows of the haunted house and moon.
Step 5: Add googly eyes to the ghosts and draw a ghostly expression with a black maker pen.
Cut out the Haunted House and Ghosts
Step 6: Cut out all the ghostly elements from the template.
Step 7: Glue the haunted house to the bottom of the twilight backdrop.
Create a Spooky Scene
Step 8: Glue the moon to the top of the twilight backdrop.
The Accordion Fold – “Bobble”
Step 9: Using scissors or a paper cutter, cut out two even strips of coloured paper (or card for a better bounce, however it’s trickier for kids to fold) – ideally, the strips will be fairly wide and for length, I recommend cutting the paper from the shortest side of an A4 piece of paper or longest side of a piece of card.
Take the two strips and position them in a 90° angle as shown above. Glue the connecting papers together.
Step 10: Fold the bottom strip over the top and crease the fold along the edge. This will make the accordion fold tight!
Securing the Accordion Fold
Step 11: Continue this process until all the is paper has been folded.
Seal the ends with glue.
Step 12: Create a second bobble.
Completing the Easy Bobble Ghost Halloween Craft
Step 13: Glue one of the bobble to the back drop and attach the ghost to the other end.
Repeat the process for both ghostly characters.
The ghosts will now playfully bounce above the haunted house.
