Cupcake liners have become an unexpected favourite when it comes to crafting and the inspiration for these charming cupcake liner Christmas Trees came from my five-year-old, who turned stacking the cupcake liners into a game.
With a little imagination we transformed her stacked cupcakes liners into a Christmas Tree garland that hangs in our window. We also used a few as ornaments to decorate the tree, either way, we love them and they’re so easy to make!
Cupcake Liner Christmas Trees: Materials
Cupcake Liners
Pipe Cleaner
PVA Glue
Scissors
String ( If you would like to make a garland )
To make our cupcake liner Christmas trees, we used 5 cupcake liners and started by threading the pipe cleaner through the centre of the cupcake liner and securing with a small knot at the end of the pipe cleaner.
We then threaded the next two cupcake liners.
With the remaining two cupcake liners, cut out two triangles of different sizes.
Glue the cupcake liner with the smallest triangle directly onto the pipe cleaner and then repeat with the remaining pipe cleaner. Finish off by creating a hoop with the pipe cleaner.
You should now have a gorgeous little cupcake liner Christmas tree to hang on the tree or the beginnings of a garland!
