Sharing is caring!
Our Bobble Halloween Spider Craft is perfect for parents or educators who are looking for a fun, not spooky Halloween craft for kids.
With its added bobble, kids will delight at how the spider appears to move and wobble on its colourful web; bringing an interactive and engaging quality to the craft.
The spider craft is great for fine motor skills and encourages children to cut, trace and assemble the simple spider template for themselves.

Bobble Spider Step by Step Instructions:
Colour in the Spider Web Template
Step 1: Arty Crafty Kids can use their favourite medium to colour in the spider web.
In this example, we’ve used a palette of watercolour paints. We love watercolours for their vibrant colours and ease of use.
Children can simply fill the spider web with colour or create patterns!
Step 2: Complete the spider web and leave it to dry.
Cut out the Spider Template
Step 3: Carefully cut out the spider elements.
The spider has been designed with little hands in mind to encourage Arty Crafty Kids to cut out the body parts themselves.
Trace the Spider Body Parts
Step 4: Transfer to the spider body and head to a piece of black card stock or paper.
Use a white pencil to trace the elements.
Add a piece of coloured paper to the back of the black card stock and cut the circular shapes out.
Trace the legs on black card stock and cut out.
Assemble the Spider
Step 5: Start with the spider body.
Use the coloured paper to add markings to the black spider body.
In our example we’ve given the spider blue stripes by cutting the blue circle body into strips.
Step 6: Add the eyes to the spider’s head and attach the head to the spider.
Variation: Replace the paper eyes with googly eyes!
Step 7: Complete the spider by adding its eight legs.
The Accordion Fold – “Bobble”
Step 8: Using scissors or a paper cutter, cut out two even strips of coloured paper (or card for a better bounce, however it’s trickier for kids to fold) – ideally, the strips will be fairly wide and for length, I recommend cutting the paper from the shortest side of an A4 piece of paper or longest side of a piece of card.
Take the two strips and position them in a 90° angle as shown above. Glue the connecting papers together.
Fold the bottom strip over the top and crease the fold along the edge. This will make the accordion fold tight!
Securing the Accordion Fold
Step 9: Continue this process until all the is paper has been folded.
Seal the ends with glue.
Completing the
Bobble Halloween Spider Craft
Step 10: Glue one end of the accordion fold to the spider web.
Step 11: Secure the completed spider to the other of the accordion fold. Give it a good push down.
The spider will now wobble and bounce as if it’s making a web!
