Bee Coloring Pages for Kids
Our use of bold smooth lines in our coloring pages ensures that children of all ages will find the designs easy to color. These lovely bee themed coloring pages are full of friendly faces and would be great for opening up a conversation about the different elements of the pollination process. Bees are so important for a thriving ecosystem and play a key part in pollinating the food we eat! Bees are not just cute and fluffy, but they also give us yummy honey.
The bees we see daily are typically yellow and black. Children may imagine their bees differently and color them in all sorts of wild and extravagant colors. Different species of bees can sport some rather amazing colors. We recommend taking a look at the Orchid Bee for inspiration.
World Bee Day:
Bees and other pollinators, such as butterflies, bats and hummingbirds, are increasingly under threat from human activities.
Pollination is, however, a fundamental process for the survival of our ecosystems. Nearly 90% of the world’s wild flowering plant species depend, entirely, or at least in part, on animal pollination, along with more than 75% of the world’s food crops and 35% of global agricultural land. Not only do pollinators contribute directly to food security, but they are key to conserving biodiversity.
To raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and their contribution to sustainable development, the UN designated 20 May as World Bee Day.
