Tear Up the Colored Scrap Paper
Tear the colored paper in to different shapes and sizes. This will guarantee a unique finished look!
Glue the Colored Paper within the Christmas Stocking Template
Using a glue stick, apply glue to small areas at a time so that it doesn’t dry up too quickly. Once you’ve applied the glue, pick out colored pieces of paper which fit the gap you are trying to fill.
Sometimes it might take a few tries to find the right shape so don’t be afraid to try different pieces or overlap pieces if you need to.
Fill All the White Space within the Christmas Stocking
Continue glueing and layering the torn paper until all the white space is covered.
Create a Background
Use paint or your Arty Crafty Kids favorite medium, to create a background around the paper collage.
The background creates contrast in both color and texture, and is great way to add emphasis to Christmas Stocking.
Add some final details
Once the background is dry, add some final details to make the art pop!
Our example presents white dots for snowflakes and golden swirls for an added wintery effect.
