Or follow the written instructions!
Step 1: Prepare 8 green paper circles for the tree and craft the Christmas tree trunk & star.
Step 2: Fold the circles in half.
Step 3: Fold a sheet of card stock in half to make a Christmas card.
Ensure a neat fold by running a finger, ruler, or popsicle stick along the edge.
Each half of the circles will interlock as demonstrated in the image. Before using glue, try experimenting with various angles to create a wider or slimmer appearance for the tree’s foliage
Step 4: Glue the Christmas Tree trunk to the front of the Christmas card.
Place the tree trunk in the center and approximately 2-3cm above the card’s edge.
Step 5: Begin with the widest layer of the Christmas Tree.
Apply glue to one side of two halves.
Place the first half just above the tree trunk, then attach the second half inside the first to form an ‘L’ shape.
Continue adding layers, experimenting with angles to create a tapered appearance toward the top of the tree. Slot each layer behind the previous pair for a layered effect.
Keep going until the Christmas tree is complete!
Step 6: Draw snowflakes around the Christmas Tree…
Using a gold acrylic pen or an alternative.
Step 7: Create a snowy base by dabbing white paint along the bottom of the card using a sponge or pom-pom.
