This simple step-by-step tutorial demonstrates how to make three different Handprint Christmas Cards:-
- How to Make a Handprint Reindeer
- How to Make a Handprint Santa
- How to Make a Handprint Christmas Tree
How to Make a Handprint Reindeer Christmas Card
Step 1: Using a paintbrush, paint the palm of your child’s hand brown.
Step 2: Turn the hand over and press down firmly into the centre of the Christmas Card Template.
Step 3: Carefully peel the hand away from the card to reveal the print.
Step 4: Paint the reindeer’s nose from the Handprint Elements Template red.
Step 5: Cut out the reindeer elements (nose and eyes) and attach to the handprint to complete the reindeer.
Step 6: Add some colourful fingerprint ‘Christmas lights’ to the top of the Christmas Card.
Step 7: Fold the Christmas Card in half and open to write a special message.
How to Make a Christmas Tree Handprint Card
Step 1: Using a paintbrush, paint the palm of your child’s hand green.
Step 2: Turn the hand over and press down firmly into the centre of the Christmas Card Template.
Step 3: Carefully peel the hand away from the card to reveal the print.
Step 4: Paint the Christmas Tree star from the Handprint Elements Template yellow.
Step 5: Cut out the Christmas Tree Star and attach to the top of the handprint.
Step 6: Add some colourful fingerprint ‘Christmas lights’ to the top of the Christmas Card and to the handprint tree.
Step 7: Fold the Christmas Card in half and open to write a special message.
How to Make a Santa Handprint Christmas Card
Step 1: Using a pencil, trace your child’s handprint onto the Christmas Handprint Elements page.
Step 2: Paint the centre of the palm a flesh colour and above (including the thumb) red.
Step 3: Once the handprint is dry, cut out the print and glue to the centre of the Christmas Card.
Step 4: Paint the Santa nose on the Handprint Elements Template red and cut it out, along with the eyes.
Step 5: Glue the eyes to the flesh area of the handprint.
Step 6: Glue cotton wool to the unpainted white fingers.
Step 7: Add a strip of cotton wool to the border of the red and flesh colour.
Step 8: Add a final cotton ball to the tip of the thumb.
Step 9: Complete the Santa handprint by securing the big red nose.
