Sharing is caring!
Black Glue Resist is the ‘must try’ technique for the Summer. I adore the brilliant sheen of the black glue against the watercolour paint, making the design almost pop out from the page! The possibilities are end-less with this incredibly simple process and it can adapted and enjoyed by little kids, big kids and adults. So if you’re looking for that perfect project to try this Summer, then I’m sure you will love our Black Glue Sunflower Art project.
Black Glue Sunflower Art
With a few basic materials and a handy sunflower template, this project couldn’t be easier.
All the details of how to make the glue, along with the template can be found over at I Heart Crafty Things where I had the pleasure of creating this post for the lovely Rachel. While you’re there, have a good look around her website – it’s like an Aladdins cave of awesome craft ideas for kids!
Pin for later!
The template design for this pretty black glue resist sunflower art is a simplified version of our gorgeous sunflower ‘zentangle’ inspired colouring page, that’s free to download in an A4 format and A5 greetings card.
So while your kids are busy painting or are waiting for the black glue to dry, why not download our colouring page for a spot of calming colouring too?
And finally, if you’re looking for any additional inspiration for crafts to try this Summer, then take a look at this amazing collection Under the Sea crafts, our very own black glue resist jellyfish and super cool watermelon paper plate bag!
I hope you enjoy creating and colouring sunflowers with the kids!
